Looking forward to get into adventure races but not confident  in your navigational skills? 

 

Navigation training is designed for beginner/intermediate navigators as well as for those who have never done any navigation based activities.

Content:

This training is designed to give you an idea how to read a map, build your confidence and skills in navigation.


1. How to orientate a map. Magnetic declination.
2. Map types. 
3. Contour. How to read terrain.
4. Orienteering technique.
5. Route choices. 
6. How to prepare your map before the event 

 

When: 3 hour group session. 10 AM-1 PM


Where: Main entrance Lysterfield Park (from Horswood rd), Google maps link>>

 

What to bring: running/walking gear for the second part, compass (if you have your own).
 
What is included: professionally organised training session, all training materials, compass hire, snacks and drinks. 

 

Cost: $40 per person.
