Adrenalin Quest 2025: Stage Adventure Racing Returns to the South Coast
The South Coast of New South Wales is set to come alive with adventure this February as Adrenalin Quest Stage Adventure Race returns for 2026.
Taking place from 20–22 February, with headquarters in South Durras just minutes north of Batemans Bay, this three-day adventure promises exciting challenges, stunning scenery, and a unique experience for teams of all levels.
Supported by the NSW Government, Adrenalin Quest is set to be one of the highlights of the 2026 Australian adventure racing calendar, attracting athletes, outdoor enthusiasts, and families for a weekend of exploration, teamwork, and fun.
Stage Racing: Adventure, Challenge, and Connection
Adrenalin Quest is a three-day stage race, designed to push participants physically and mentally while allowing time to rest, recover and re-group each night in your own accommodation. This format offers the perfect balance of competition, recovery, and social connection.
Each stage presents a new adventure: navigating, mountain biking, trail running, and paddling through some of the most beautiful environments on the South Coast. Stage racing also encourages social engagement—after a hard day on the course, teams come together in the evening to share stories, celebrate achievements, and build lasting friendships.
The 2026 Course:
Friday 20 February – Prologue:
Teams kick off the weekend with a short prologue race designed to test coordination, navigation, and stamina, setting the tone for the three-day adventure. Competitors should arrive by early lunch and be ready to race on foot and in the kayak at the later afternoon.
Saturday 21 February – Linear Course:
Saturday features a linear course through the famous Mogo mountain bike trails, offering technical variety and scenic flow. Teams will be racing across diverse terrain, combining endurance and strategy. The optional bus can be booked during the registration unless you have a support crew to drop you at the start line.
Sunday 22 February – Loop Course:
The final stage is a loop course highlighting the South Coast’s coastline, lakes, and bushland. This stage is accessible for all levels, ensuring novice racers and families can enjoy a memorable adventure.

Event Categories
Adrenalin Quest 2025 caters to a wide range of participants and offers three racing options:
EPIC: Three-day full-stage race for experienced teams.
CLASSIC: Saturday-only linear course for those seeking a single-day challenge.
NOVICE: Sunday-only loop course suitable for beginners and families with children 10+.
This variety ensures the event is inclusive, offering both a high-level challenge for seasoned adventure racers and a fun, achievable experience for newcomers.
Experience and Passion Behind the Event
Adrenalin Quest is organised by AJ Events (Adventure Junkie), which has been delivering adventure racing events across Australia for over 15 years. Their philosophy combines physical challenge, outdoor exploration, and social connection, creating high-quality events that participants remember long after the finish line.
Race Director Maria Plyashechko said:
“Adventure racing has been our passion for more than a decade. We’ve organised events across Australia that challenge people and bring them closer to nature. Adrenalin Quest is our way to combine the thrill of racing with the joy of shared experiences—a true celebration of teamwork, resilience, and outdoor adventure.”
Co-Director Sergey Kurov added:
“Stage racing is about more than competition. It’s about connection—pushing hard during the day, then coming together in the evening to share stories and laughter. It creates a social atmosphere that makes the event as memorable off the course as on it.”
