26-28 of April Team Peak Adventure Junkie is racing in Chinese Baise Leye Outdoor Quest.
Final racing day of Baise Leye Outdoor Quest is over Team Peak Adventure Junkie completed race on 5th position. Winners are team Thule, second FJS, very close followed by Aussies Moxie Gear/Nuun, 4th Chinese Red Bull. Last day was tough for everyone. Red Bull team who were 3 minutes behind us after 2 days raced really well today and put about 10 minutes on us, so we were moved down to 5th position. First, we had a short bus trip to some village where race started with a bunch ride for first 6 km of bitumen and then as soon as we hit a gravel teams spread out a little bit. Thule went ahead followed by Red Bull, then Moxie Gear and us. Swedish FJS got a puncture at the end of bitumen and finished the leg couple of minutes behind us.

After the ride we had a 21 km run splited into 2 stages (15 and 6 km) with the 15 minutes rest area in between. Swedish team caught us up at the start of the run, however, we managed to stay with them for the entire first stage. Both runs were along a technical single trek mostly with few kilometers on road. For the second leg we did not maintain the pace and finished few minutes behind them. After the run it was 10 km downriver paddle with few rapids through the beautiful gorge and a spectacular rock arch which we really enjoyed. The very final task was a swing rope task for 2 persons, which Serge and Jarad completed perfectly well. Weather was absolutely the best we've ever seen in China for the most of the day- cool and

Now we're heading to presentation ceremony and then in couple of hours it's bus to an airport. Team is quite happy how we went through the race, everyone worked 110%, just a bit more practice required. Although for Jarad it's not the perfect result for Serge and Maria it's a big step forward as when they raced here two years ago they finished 13th.
